Bellsouth, Myspace, and Youtube
Is there anything definitive about what’s going on with Bellsouth people being unable to get to Myspace and/or Youtube lately? I know there’s been a lot of rumors and rumbling about filtering and QoS stuff and net neutrality, but the only official quote I can find so far is from the PC Mag story, where Joe Chandler, director of media relations at BellSouth, said
“To my knowledge, we’re not blocking any site right now,” he said.
“We don’t block lawful sites,” Chandler added.
It has no effect on me right now, but it’s interesting to see what happens. Myspace and Youtube are probably easy sites to block to try to cut down on network traffic. I wonder how much bandwidth they’re using for BellSouth on an average day.

I am getting pissed off because right now i dont know whether its bellsouth’s idea or my ip address blocking myspace and youtube right now. i haven’t been able to access those two sites since this has been awared to people. if this is considered “net neutrality” i want them to stop now. i, as a teen, use both youtube and myspace daily regularly. right now im just really pissed off that i have to use daveproxy.uk.co to access myspace, that still doesn’t help me, i began to get more and more annoyed as the proxy site doesn’t always work. so somebody answer me. is there anyway to clear up this with a solution? i really want to access youtube and myspace again and i need to know what i can do. pm to my email if you have a response “itsjustbdork@yahoo.com.”
